Donald Trump a été évacué, la joue ensanglantée, après plusieurs tirs lors d'un meeting à Butler en Pennsylvanie (nord-est), qui ont fait un mort et deux blessés graves parmi les spectateurs. La police a également confirmé la mort de l'auteur présumé. Avant d'être évacué, l'ex-président a levé le poing en l'air en signe de défi. Il a déclaré plus tard avoir été touché par une balle qui lui a transpercé l'oreille droite. Le FBI a confirmé qu'il s'agissait d'une tentative d'assassinat et a identifié l'auteur.
